MRI, standing for Minnesota Regional Invitational, is an event during the robotics fall season, which the Robettes have participated in for the past few years. Each year, Minnesota teams compete with their previous year’s robot, playing the game of the previous year. This year’s game was Recycle Rush. The Robettes had a wonderful time at the event this fall, with several new members trying their hands at driving the robot, coaching the driver, and taking on the role of the human player. As we had altered the robot drastically between last year’s season and MRI, we had a few rocky twists and turns throughout the day–making it a true recreation of the on the fly test, examine, improve, and celebrate process of both the official regional events and real life engineering.
